How to activate your new savings account

We need two pieces of information from you: a completed signature mandate form, and a bank statement for your nominated account.

Print, complete and return your signature mandate form to us by post

Please complete our signature mandate form and post it to the address on the form. Make sure the signatory details on the form match those used in your application.

If you don’t have your account number(s) yet, don’t worry – we’ll fill this in for you when you return the form.

Email us a nominated account bank statement

As part of the account opening process, we'll try to verify your nominated account electronically. If we can't do this, we'll ask you to email us a bank statement for your chosen nominated account showing your account name, sort code and account number. You should send this as a PDF to BusinessSavings@nationwide.co.uk

In 2014, along with other governments around the world, the UK government imposed new information gathering and reporting obligations on Financial Institutions to counter cross border tax evasion. Under these obligations, we're required to determine the status and tax residency of entities who hold accounts with us.

Audit authority form

When your auditors ask for the information that we hold on you and/or your accounts we need to have your permission to send this to them. You don't need to fill in the account number as we'll fill this in. Please speak to your auditor first, as you only need to complete this form if your auditor does not use ‘Confirmation’ as an audit platform.
