What should I do if I’m locked out of the Internet Bank?

For security reasons you won't be able to log in if you've entered your details incorrectly a number of times. You can unlock your account using a card reader, or change your login details by re-registering.

Use a card reader to log in and unlock your account

Any bank or building society's card reader will work, as long as it accepts your debit card - it's equally safe and secure.

Once logged in, you can change your details if you need to

  1. Select the ‘Manage my details and settings’ tab.
  2. Select 'View or change my security settings'.

No card reader? Change your login details by re-registering

As long as you haven't registered for internet banking in the last seven days, you can reset your passnumber and retrieve your customer number - by re-registering.

You'll need:

  • Your account details

We will send you two codes, one by text message and one by email. Codes expire after 10 minutes and can be resent a maximum of three times.

If you can't receive the codes, we'll be able to post your details instead.
