Meet our Savings Wallet

Our new Savings Wallet will keep the benefits research has told us our passbook customers value most. It will include a card - which can be used in branch in place of passbooks. And it will keep a record of your account by storing mini statements.

From 31 July we will be contacting passbook branch users. We will update them on the changes and help them open an account with a Savings Wallet. They don’t need to do anything in the meantime. All of our colleagues in branch will be on hand to help and support them as we get ready to move to Savings Wallets. And customers can continue to use their existing passbooks until February 2025.

As the UK's largest building society, we know the importance of offering products and services that serve the needs of our customers. Creating a modern version of our passbooks and making them fit for the future is part of this. And of course, we remain committed to branches. We have promised that everywhere we have a branch, we will still be there until at least the start of 2028.
