Minimum and maximum limits
You can transfer a balance at any time and there's no limit on how many balances you can transfer.
The minimum transfer amount is £1.
You can transfer a balance of up to 95% of your available credit limit.
How long transfers take
It normally takes 1 to 2 working days to move your balance across (in some circumstances it can take longer). The transfer may not show up in your next statement depending on when you applied.
Always make sure you maintain payments on existing cards until the balance transfer is complete, otherwise you may be charged a missed payment fee.
How to check your credit card balance
Your transferred balance will show in the 'interest summary' table on your statement. We won't send a letter to confirm this.
Promotional and introductory offers
If the transfer was part of a promotional offer, you'll get notifications in your statements before your offer is due to expire. You can also see your interest rate, offer duration and offer expiry date in the ‘interest summary’ table on your statement.
Information:
Unlike some credit card providers, at Nationwide your offer period will start from the day the balance was transferred to your account, not the day you applied. That means that you won’t miss out on part of your offer period.
