Contact Legal & General
You’ll need to give them:
- The policy number
- The name of the person who has died
- The cause, date and place of death (if known)
- Your name and relationship to the person who has died
- The name of the legal next of kin (if known)
Claims assessed
Your case handler will let you know if they need any further information or documents. In most cases, you’ll need to send the death certificate.
Depending on the type of policy and the circumstances of the death they may need to:
- Request information from the doctor or coroner
- Request legal documents
Payouts
Full payments for valid claims are made within 3 days.
